The Deputy Ministers of National
Tourism, Nadia Mignogna, and of Tourism Projects and Works, Claudia
Domínguez, toured the municipalities of Santa Rita and Almirante
Padilla, in the state of Zulia, as part of an agenda aimed at promoting community tourism
projects and strengthening the supply of destinations in the region.
During
the day, the authorities visited different areas with potential for tourism
development, including the island of Providencia, where they evaluated a
proposal for historical and heritage tourism promoted by community organizations.
In addition, they held meetings with residents of the community and representatives
of the Añú people.
The
tour also included a visit to the Castilletes sector, in the
Almirante Padilla municipality, where they inspected tourist attractions such as the
Punta Perret Lighthouse and the Jantuy inn, in order to learn about their
operating conditions and the needs posed by service providers.
Later, the delegation traveled to the municipality of Santa Rita to
meet with spokespersons of the Multicultural Socialist Commune “All Together We Are
Chávez”, with whom they reviewed proposals related to the development of the Tourist
Boulevard on the Palmarejo pier, a project that will be presented at the next popular consultation.
The activity is part of the actions promoted by the Ministry of Popular Power for Tourism to promote community initiatives, strengthen tourism infrastructure and promote destinations with historical, cultural and heritage value in the state of Zulia.
