This Tuesday, July 16, on the first flight of the Great Mission Back to the Homeland (GMVP), 261 compatriots returned to the country, on a flight of the Venezuelan Consortium of Aeronautical Industries and Air Services (CONVIASA), from Mexico, the Ministry of Popular Power for Transportation reported, through its account on the social network X.

For its part, the Foreign Ministry of the Republic, through its account on the same social network, indicated that compatriots were received at Maiquetía International Airport, by the Chancellor of the Republic, Yván Gil, together with the Deputy Minister for Comprehensive Care for Venezuelan Migration, Pedro Sassone, and the director of the Administrative Service for Identification, Migration and Immigration (SAIME), Gustavo Vizcaíno.

Gil said that “we are seeing our flag carrier CONVIASA that has returned to this group of compatriots, who had migrated as a result of that false hope that was sold to them.”

He said that Venezuelan women and Venezuelans were encouraged to leave the country, supposedly looking for a better destination, but they clashed with reality abroad and “realized that their future is here in Venezuela.”

He reiterated that the Homeland is in a phase of economic, political and social recovery, making hope the main flag of Venezuelans.

“All compatriots who return to their country today are immediately included in the social protection system, the Homeland System, once all children and adolescents are included in the education system,” he said.
