Businessman Elon Musk announced his intention to form a new political group in the United States, with the objective of representing the country's centrist sector. The proposal comes amid a controversy with President Donald Trump.

“The people have spoken. We need a new party that represents 80% of the center,” said Musk, who backed up his approach with a poll that garnered 5.6 million votes. He also introduced the possible name of the organization: "The America Party”.

The tycoon and the president have had public clashes in recent days, initiated by Musk's criticism of a budget project promoted by Trump. In the midst of the dispute, the businessman described the president as “ungrateful” and claimed to have influenced his return to the White House, in addition to indirectly linking him to the Epstein case.

For his part, Trump responded that he does not have a close relationship with Musk and threatened to rescind government agreements with his companies, stating that the billionaire “has a problem”.
