The exhibition In the Footsteps of Reverón will run until July at the Alejandro Otero Museum in Caracas, with the exhibition that brings together 38 works created by children and adults who participate in the permanent Initiation to the Arts and Art Laboratory workshops held at the institution.
Using a variety of techniques, including painting with chimó and recyclable material, the artists paid a heartfelt tribute to the renowned Venezuelan draftsman, painter and sculptor, Armando Reverón.
This artistic celebration began on May 17 and is part of his birthday, on May 10, the date on which the National Day of the Plastic Artist is also celebrated.
The authors of the works, ranging in age from 8 to 71, were inspired by the artist's emblematic pieces. The works on display were curated by the museographer, Eduardo Zambrano, a report from the Ministry of People's Power for Culture.
