The Ministry of Popular Power for Foreign Trade and the National Center for Historical Studies (CNEH) signed an inter-institutional and academic cooperation agreement that will allow researchers, workers of the institution and the People's Power to train in diplomas and workshops in economic export matters, based on knowledge of the history of Venezuela.
The agreement was signed between the president of the CNEH and chronicler of Caracas, Omar Hurtado Rayugsen and the Minister of Popular Power for Foreign Trade, Coromoto Godoy, within the framework of the discussion “Historiographic Memory of Venezuelan Foreign Trade”.
In his speech, Hurtado Rayugsen stated that “we are demonstrating with historical support that Venezuela has more than 15,000 years in history producing basic elements, components in its basic diet that currently constitute 95% of the national basic basket.”
“We are supporting the policy of the president, Nicolás Maduro, of less desk and more territory, coming into direct contact with the communes, with the popular sectors to demonstrate that Venezuela has a base of more than 100 years of oil dependence,” he said.
For her part, Minister Godoy specified that one of the main objectives of this agreement is to promote and strengthen an export vision, in which the People are incorporated into this economic model proposed by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.
“It's an extraordinary sign that the People are preparing to be part of the export process, they are no longer the elites, they are not the big cacaos, they are the organized, courageous and resilient people telling the world that Venezuela creates, produces and exports with pride,” he stressed.
Godoy also expressed his satisfaction that 120 representatives from the Cacique Carapaica Communes, Historical Heritage of the Cathedral, Cacique Guaicaipura, Architect Carlos Raúl Villanueva, the La Paz Urban Community Circuit and the Luchadores de Santa Ana Foundation and the private sector, including CONSECOMERCIO, businessmen and entrepreneurs, were present at this discussion.
