Within the framework of the International Tourism Fair FITCUBA 2025, the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP) held its 7th Meeting of Ministers, Ministers and Senior Tourism Authorities, consolidating strategic agreements for the strengthening of the sector in the region.
One of the main achievements achieved was the creation of a multi-destination product between Cuba and Venezuela, aimed at the Chinese market. In addition, the countries agreed to promote new tourist and archaeological segments, together with the promotion of a regional cruise ship.
In terms of connectivity, progress was made in multimodal transport proposals and measures to encourage air operations that reduce costs and enhance tourism competitiveness. Scholarships and training programs were also announced in Cuba and Venezuela for specialization in tourism.
As part of the commitment to innovation, the ALBA-TCP will develop a repository of academic documents on tourism and will explore digital tools based on artificial intelligence to improve the visitor experience.
Looking to the future, the meeting established that the Venezuelan International Tourism Fair (FITVEN) will be key to the launch of new products, in preparation for the first ALBA-TCP International Tourism Fair in 2026.
The meeting reaffirmed the commitment of member countries to consolidate ALBA-TCP as an engine of regional tourism, promoting an integrated and sustainable offer for the growth of the sector.
