The Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America - Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP), issued a statement this Tuesday, August 12, in which it repudiates in its strongest terms the assassination, by the Zionist State of Israel, of journalist Anas Jamal al-Sharif and 5 other journalists from the news outlet Al Jazeera and Sahat.

In the letter, he points out that “what is happening in Palestine is a planned and executed genocide, the most stark manifestation of human horror and perversity, a contemporary expression of neo-Nazi and neo-fascist practices”.

“The physical departure of Anas Jamal al-Sharif is a moral and political call not to remain silent. The ALBA-TCP reaffirms its unwavering and irrevocable commitment to the Palestinian cause and demands an immediate cessation of the genocide,” he says.

The Alliance described what is happening in Palestine as “a planned and executed genocide”, a contemporary expression of “neo-Nazi and neo-fascist” practices.

The ALBA-TCP, the murder of journalists is not collateral damage, but rather a deliberate policy of silencing, which since October 2023 has claimed the lives of 238 journalists with the aim of preventing the world from knowing the magnitude of the crimes committed by the occupying power.
