ALBA-TCP supports President Maduro's request to hold World Peace Summit

The countries of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-Peoples' Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) through their executive secretary, Rander Peña, describe as urgent and pertinent the convening of the World Summit for Peace, proposed by the President of the Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros.
This was announced by the executive secretary of the Latin American and Caribbean integration block, through his Telegram channel, after concluding a virtual working meeting with the national coordinators of ALBA-TCP.
“I held a fruitful virtual working meeting with the coordinators of the member countries of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA), where we reviewed the progress of the Agroalba and ALBA Azul programs and the prospects of the Alliance,” Peña wrote.
In this regard, he explained that the countries of the Alliance expressed the pertinent and urgent need to convene the Summit for Peace against the War, an initiative presented by President Nicolás Maduro Moros.
“We reiterate our commitment to continue working to consolidate the integrationist vision, in favor of the happiness of our peoples, proposed by commanders Fidel Castro and Hugo Chávez,” concluded the executive secretary.
