Algeria and Venezuela reaffirm ties of friendship and cooperation

The ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Algeria, Imad Saab, held a meeting with the president of the National Popular Assembly, Brahim Boughali, at the headquarters of the Algerian parliament.
During the meeting, the authorities highlighted the importance of the bonds of friendship and cooperation that unite both nations and bring them to the commercial and economic spheres.
The meeting allowed us to review the bilateral agenda and explore new opportunities for collaboration in the parliamentary and diplomatic spheres, according to a press release from the Ministry of People's Power for Foreign Affairs.
Ambassador Saab highlighted the installation of the new National Assembly of Venezuela for the period 2026-2031 and the re-election of Deputy Jorge Rodríguez as president of the parliament, whom Boughali congratulated on this ratification.
The diplomat also reported on the situation of normality and full functioning of the Venezuelan State.
Caracas and Algiers have maintained diplomatic relations since 1971 and have been continuously strengthened.
