Algodones del Orinoco and Misión Venezuela Joven create the National Fashion School for youth

With the objective of celebrating the 11th Anniversary of the Social Property Company -EPS- Algodones del Orinoco S.A., headquarters in Los Teques, Miranda state, an agreement was signed with the Great Venezuela Youth Mission to establish the Fashion School for Venezuelan youth.
In this regard, Neider Lara, president of Algodones del Orinoco, said that it is a very special day for Algodones del Orinoco, “because we are celebrating the 11th anniversary of its founding with the signing of an agreement with the Great Venezuelan Youth Mission, which will allow the entire country and the planet to know the magic that Venezuela has with regard to printing and fashion, to learn about its fibers, cotton, its seeds and accompanying this beautiful process, from the growth of the seed, the growth of cotton in the plains of the banks of the Orinoco River in the state of Guárico, to the ready garments that are the final product”.
Lara reported that currently this planting season they have more than 500 hectares planted with cotton in the plain of the Orinoco River, which they are going to transform into yarn and fabric so that each of the associated companies that bet on the fiber that produces Orinoco cotton can have all the threads and fabrics of all the uniforms of our girls and boys in our country.”
For her part, Génesis Garve, president of the Great Venezuela Youth Mission (GMVJ), explained that this agreement will materialize the facilities of the National Fashion School, “a dream they have had to involve in the entire textile production process all young Venezuelans who are interested in design, fashion and clothing production.”
The president of the GMVJ added that many people may be unaware of the country's textile potential, so they are betting on transformation, economic growth and diversification of the economy.
“We feel that we have potential in the production of clothing, in design, in thinking about how we dress and how the national identity is in that clothing; we believe that the creativity of Venezuelan youth is in each of these ideas in terms of clothing, design, creativity and fashion, so that they can continue to grow to be a large national market and export Venezuelan fashion,” he said.
Garve also announced that they are going to the state of Guárico to meet all the young people who are not making but are growing cotton, “which is very important within the production chain”.
In addition, Johanna Martínez, cutting supervisor at Algodones del Orinoco S.A., said that the company means training, success and a future to come for the new generations. “I thank Engineer Facur who helped found this company, currently Mr. Neider Lara, Eternal Commander Hugo Chávez and President Nicolás Maduro for this opportunity to work in this great textile company.”
During this activity, Ibrahin Infante, president of the Productive Conglomerate; Yoneisi Paredes, Deputy Minister for Youth Sports; as well as Jorge Pérez, Training Manager at Inces, were present and accompanying the tour.
It is worth noting that this company, which employs approximately 120 people, was promoted by the Eternal Commander Hugo Chaves and materialized by President Nicolás Maduro in order to guarantee sources of work, strengthen national production and contribute to the economic development of the country
