Amazonia Films will distribute documentary “Guiomar Narváez in sustained love”

The state distributor Amazonia Films has
formalized the signing of the contract for the distribution and exhibition of the
documentary “Guiomar Narvaez in Sustained Love”, directed by Jinán Al-Shereidah Narváez.
According to information from the Ministry
for Culture, the firm will allow the production to reach
commercial theatres and alternative circuits in the country, as part of the celebration
of the institution's twentieth anniversary.
In this regard, the director stressed that the
alliance with Amazonia Films will expand the scope of the production and
bring it closer to the Venezuelan public, while the president of the
distribution company, Vladimir Sosa Sarabia, pointed out that the incorporation of this
feature film strengthens the offer of works dedicated to the country's cultural identity and audiovisual memory.
The work pays homage to the
Venezuelan pianist Guiomar Narváez through an intimate look at her life and artistic career.
Through documentary research, the director links her
story with that of prominent exponents of national music such as Vicente
Emilio Sojo, María Luisa Escobar, Inocente Carreño, Aldemaro Romero and Morela Muñoz.
The documentary has been recognized at international
festivals, including the Fémin'Îles Jury Prize at
FEMiFEST Guadalupe and the Special Jury Prize at the Istanbul International
Women's Film Festival, consolidating its journey on international film stages.
