Ambassador Magaly Henríquez delivers Credentials to the President of Namibia

The ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Magaly Henríquez González, presented the Credential Letters to the President of the Republic of Namibia, Nangelo Mbumba, at an official ceremony held at the State House and/or Presidency of the African country.
The president was accompanied by the Minister of the Presidency, Christine Hoebes; the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of International Relations and Cooperation (MIRCO), Jennelly Matundu, and the Executive Director of the Presidency, Claudia Grace Uushona, as well as the Chief of Protocol of the Foreign Ministry, Ambassador Leonard Iipumbu.
The Venezuelan Ambassador attended in the company of counselor Aurelin Díaz and her mother Magaly González de Henríquez.
President Mbumba congratulated and warmly welcomed the Ambassador, while extending a toast on behalf of the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro and his person. The Head of State of Namibia also praised the high level of bilateral relations with Venezuela and the closeness between its peoples and governments. He also pointed out that both nations agree on the principles of freedom, self-determination of peoples and anti-imperialist struggle.
The Namibian president thanked former President Hage Geingob for the post-mortem award given by President Nicolás Maduro and promoted meetings between the Venezuelan diplomat and her government team.
Ambassador Henríquez thanked her for the kindness extended to Namibia, as well as the good treatment they have given her since her arrival in the country. He reiterated his interest in working in all the areas of cooperation promoted since last year, within the framework of the Joint Commission, emphasizing social and educational projects with children and youth in Namibia.
He argued that the oil and mining areas are also two important pillars of cooperation; however, the social and cultural potential he has perceived since his stay in the country are two of the areas he would like to prioritize in order to join efforts to achieve comprehensive development in both countries.
The Head of Mission greeted, on behalf of President Nicolás Maduro and Foreign Minister Yván Gil, and indicated the importance of continuing to strengthen ties in the multilateral framework, in view of the forthcoming start of the new session of the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN).
Both parties reaffirmed the will of Venezuela and Namibia to continue working together for the benefit of their peoples, in line with the fulfillment of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
