Ambassador of Venezuela presented Credentials to the President of the Union of the Comoros

Ambassador Carlos Feo Acevedo presented this Saturday, to the President of the Union of the Comoros, Azali Assoumani, the Credential Letters that formalize him as the Head of the Diplomatic Mission of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in the African nation, concurrent from the Venezuelan diplomatic headquarters in Pretoria, Republic of South Africa.

The official ceremony was held at the Beit-Salam Presidential Palace, in the capital city Moroni, where the head of state expressed his words of thanks and recognition to President Nicolás Maduro, whom he described as a great world leader.

Assoumani joined the Venezuelan president's initiative to convene a World Peace Summit and reiterated the importance of being able to strengthen ties between the two nations.

Previously, the Venezuelan ambassador presented the Style Copies to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohamed Mbae, with whom he evaluated the possibilities of cooperation in educational, electoral, agricultural, fishing and service matters.

Minister Mbae congratulated the people and Government of Venezuela on the 214th anniversary of independence.

Ambassador Carlos Feo delivered a letter in which the Bolivarian Government congratulates Comoros on the 50th anniversary of its independence, whose official commemoration ceremony will take place tomorrow Sunday at the capital's main stadium, the Malouzini Omnisport Stadium.

Venezuela and Comoros established diplomatic relations on October 25, 1990 and have signed two cooperation agreements.
