The American Association of Jurists (AAJ), which participated as an overseer of the elections held in Venezuela, this Sunday, May 25, 2025, issued a statement supporting the results issued by the National Electoral Council (CNE).

The information was released by the Vice President of International Affairs of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Rander Peña, on his Telegram channel, where he published the letter issued by the AAJ, stating that the elections were held according to the schedule established by the CNE without any setbacks.

The AAJ stated that the conditions, transparency and security of the electoral act were verified in the different centers they attended as observers.

They also indicated that, despite the call for abstention by an opposition sector, the people went out to exercise their right to vote.

Likewise, from the aforementioned organization, they noted that in 25 years there was a wide political participation of different tendencies, which resulted in the election of some opposition political actors who will form part of the deputies to the National Assembly (AN), in addition to the inclusion of indigenous peoples.

The American Association of Jurists once again ratifies participatory democracy in Venezuela, where the electoral process is fully carried out under the institutional laws established by the CNE.
