AN unanimously approved Agreement in repudiation of the theft and destruction of the EMTRASUR aircraft by the United States

Yesterday, the National Assembly (AN) unanimously approved the Draft Agreement in repudiation of the theft and destruction of the Venezuelan aircraft belonging to the Southern Air Freight Transport Company (EMTRASUR) by the United States.

During the regular session, held at the Federal Legislative Palace (PFL), broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión, the presentation of this Agreement was given by Deputy Roy Daza, who emphasized that the action was “a vile, criminal, outrageous and perverse act, whose main aggression has been to demoralize Venezuelans, as well as to pretend to the supremacist character of the United States.”

He asserted that the Venezuelan people “are not going to be intimidated, nor will they be intimidated, nor will they lower their heads, not get down on their knees.”

In addition, he stressed that the act is a theft, which in addition violates all the principles of public international law and the rules of international aeronautics.

For his part, the opposition deputy José Gregorio Correa, argued that in the face of this fact, compensation must be sought from Venezuela for the criminal act against an “asset of the Republic”.
