The Venezuelan Andrés Ponce made his first goal scorer for Atlético Bucaramanga and gave him the 1-0 victory over the Barranquilla Junior of Luis “Cariaco” González, on the first day of the Colombian tournament.
Ponce started, in the 80th minute he scored the winning goal and the first with the current champion of Colombia.
“Always believing that the goal could be scored and was achieved, when I received the ball I only thought about shooting at the goal,” said the Venezuelan in an interview with the media.
He also said that he always asked God for a debut like that. “I know how important it is to be in the current champion of Colombia,” he added.
Bucaramanga, under the command of Venezuelan Technical Director Rafael Dudamel, managed to score his first 3 points in the tournament.
