Angel Falls nominated as Main Tourist Attraction at the World Travel Awards 2026

Angel Falls was nominated for the World Travel Awards 2026 in the category of Main Tourist Attraction in South America, whose vote will take place on June 12.

The Venezuelan natural icon, located in the Canaima National Park, in the state of Bolívar, will compete with destinations in the region such as the Atacama Desert, Torres del Paine National Park, Christ the Redeemer, the City Half the World and the Iguazu Falls, according to a note from La Iguana TV.

Also among the nominees are the Las Lajas Sanctuary, the Tayrona National Natural Park, Machu Picchu and the Perito Moreno Glacier.

At 979 meters high, of which 807 are free falls, Angel Falls remains the tallest waterfall in the world and one of the main natural attractions in Venezuela.
