ANSA: Growth of the food sector is reflected in all supermarkets in the country

The president of the National Association of Supermarkets and Self-Services (ANSA), Ítalo Atencio, reported the growth of the food trade sector in Venezuela, with positive projections of expansion in all the country's supermarkets.
“It's a demonstration of a sector that grows every day in the midst of difficulties,” Atencio told the president (E) of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, during the inspection tour carried out at the Los Próceres Shopping Center in Caracas. In this space, it was reported that, so far in the year 2026, domestic consumption increased by 31%.
The President of ANSA reported that, in this shopping mall in Caracas, the record of recent years was broken by meeting the needs of more than five thousand people who came to buy food supplies and other items. At the same time, he stressed that supermarkets provide employment and investment “and above all we bring joy, people buying every day,” he exemplified.
Finally, he added that 98% correspond to items that carry the Hecho en Venezuela brand and predicted that, as this direction continues, domestic production will guarantee the country's full supply of quality products.
