Venezuelan Anthony Santander shot his 24th home run of the season in Major League Baseball (MLB).
The Venezuelan took it out in the bottom of the fifth inning, against right-hander Tommy Kahnel, to lead the Baltimore Orioles 6-5 victory against the New York Yankees.
Santander got into a select group of Creoles who reached the middle of the campaign with at least 24 hits.
According to Baseball-Reference, the group is led by Miguel Cabrera, with 30 in 2013, Andrés Galarraga (28 HR, 1998; 25 HR, 1994), Carlos González (25 HR, 1994), Ronald Acuña Jr. (24 HR, 2021) and Jesús Aguilar (24 HR, 2018).
Santander led the home run department in the major leagues in the month of June with 13.
