Anzoátegui advances with vaccination days against foot-and-mouth disease in the livestock sector

The governor of the state of Anzoátegui, Luis Marcano, reported that more than 700 animals were immunized, in a first phase of the National Plan for Vaccination against Foot-and-Mouth Disease in the state.

During the day of immunization of cattle and buffalo in the municipality of Monagas, the regional president highlighted that as part of a progressive deployment, it is contemplated to achieve the vaccination of about 200,000 head of cattle in the state, according to a Venezuelan Television report.

He also reaffirmed that the operation is part of the actions to guarantee the protection of the herd and the productive security of the region.

In the same way, Marcano stressed that these actions contribute to the diversification of the national economy, especially in food production, while stating that the process demonstrates progress in strengthening livestock activity as a productive axis.

The day was attended by the mayor of the municipality, Luis Silva, together with teams of veterinary doctors and specialists from the agricultural area, who carried out the vaccination directly in production units in the sector.
