The country's candidate, Nicolás Maduro, said that July 28 will be a gift of victory for Commander Hugo Chávez because, thanks to him, the People are the protagonists of democracy.
“The man who gave his life for us, Hugo Rafael Chávez Frías, gave us his health. We will tell him Commander: This victory is for you; it is the gift of the People for your sacrifice and legacy”, he emphasized during a Meeting with the People of Barcelona, Anzoátegui state.
He assured that he is prepared to win and govern a new presidential term in national union with all Venezuelans.
“I ask the people of Anzoñategui to take to the streets with the victory and defend peace,” he stressed.
