The Homeland's candidate for the presidential election, Nicolás Maduro, warned that those sectors of the extreme right that insist on republishing the violence generated in the country in the presidential elections on July 28 underestimate the Venezuelan people.

His words were offered during an act of Revolutionary militancy in the town of La Victoria in the state of Aragua.

“The opposition has underestimated us, they have underestimated the courage, patriotism and fighting capacity of the Venezuelan people. This people will come out to vote for peace and for the future of life,” he said.

He added that those who want to come with violence “like the one that occurred in 2017 with the guarimbas and shout fraud on July 28 will run into a people that defends their homeland.”
