In an articulated effort to enhance technological capabilities from an early age, the specialized workshop on Artificial Intelligence and Creative Robotics was held at the facilities of the “Julio Morales Lara” National Educational Unit in the state of Aragua.

This initiative forms a strategic part of the Plan for Massification of Knowledge developed by the regional government in collaboration with the Foundation for the Development of Science and Technology (FUNDACITE) Aragua, an entity attached to the Ministry of Popular Power for Science and Technology.

The training day managed to directly benefit a group of 63 students studying in the fourth and sixth grades, aged between 8 and 12 years. Thanks to the collaboration between Virtual Libraries and the Aragua Core Educational Center for Science Teaching, participants were able to explore cutting-edge concepts through a participatory methodology that aroused their scientific curiosity, according to a press release.

During the development of the activity, the boys and girls delved into the technical definition of robotics, managing to precisely identify the essential subsystems that make up these machines, such as the processor, sensors, effectors, communication, programming and energy supply. In addition, the practical experience included the use of online tools to understand the fundamental principles of artificial intelligence, allowing students to visualize the real applications of this technology in the contemporary world.
