Argentina: Federal prosecutor indicted Milei and members of the government for threats against a journalist

The lawyer of the Argentine journalist, Julia Mengolini, Juan Grabois, reported that a federal prosecutor indicted the far-right president Javier Milei and other government leaders for threats against the journalist.

“The judiciary is investigating the use of public funds to finance a network of parastatal psychological terrorism, and has advanced crucial evidence to identify the perpetrators of the threats against Julia Mengolini. It has to have some limits. The one who makes them pays them”, the legal representative.

According to the accusation presented by Fernando Domínguez, federal prosecutor of San Isidro, it does not entail a guilty plea, but rather establishes the beginning of an investigation to gather evidence and maintain an accusation.

In the file, justice examines a series of threats and attacks directed at Mengolini, who denounced a hate campaign promoted by senior government officials.

Domínguez implemented several actions to investigate the alleged presence of an entity made up of state officials that uses public resources to harass and intimidate those who disagree with the Milei government.
