This Wednesday, deputies of the Union for the Fatherland block promote a political trial against anarcho-capitalist president Javier Milei, after declaring that the Islamic Republic of Iran “is an enemy of Argentina.

In the midst of the escalation of violence following the attacks initiated by Israel against the Islamic Republic, Milei said last Thursday in a message to the nation that “Iran is an enemy of Argentina” and that, if it were to develop as a nuclear power, the world would be “in trouble”.

Since the beginning of her campaign, Milei has demonstrated her unconditional support for Israel and the United States (USA), this time she went so far as to say that the Zionist government “is doing the dirty work that others don't do”, and that “it is saving Western culture”.

Toniolli did not rule out expanding support to other parliamentary blocs and warned of the possible international consequences of the president's words: “Any belligerent can take this as a declaration of war.”

Meanwhile, the Argentine Justicialist Party (PJ) rejected Milei's support for Israel and the United States in the war with Iran and accused the president of “negligence” and exposing the southern country to risks.

The PJ expressed its “categorical rejection of Milei's reckless statements about the status of enemies that apply to other nations,” and noted that “his arrogant discursive outbursts reflect once again negligence and recklessness.”
