Argentines use their savings to survive since the arrival of Milei

According to a report published by the Consumer Expectations Observatory of the consultancy firm TrendCity, 57 percent of Argentines had or have to resort to spending their savings to cover monthly expenses, since the change of government.
These market analysis experts indicate, based on a sample of 500 cases nationwide, that 58 percent of respondents have reduced their consumption of essential products and that 54 percent have visited several points of sale to find lower prices, Telesur details.
Between June 2023 and the same month of this year, inflation in Argentina since the arrival of Javier Millet was 276 percent, indicating a decrease in purchasing power of 16 percent, according to the official report of the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INDEC).
