President Delcy Rodríguez inspected progress in rehabilitation work at the Vargas Hospital in Caracas

The President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, this Monday, October 5, paid a visit to the facilities of the José María Vargas Hospital in Caracas to verify the progress of the rehabilitation and comprehensive modernization of this health center.

In a publication on the Presidential Press portal, she points out that such oversight is part of the priority actions instructed by the head of state in the area of hospital infrastructure and strengthening of the National Public Health System.

The execution of these works allows the recovery and reactivation of functional and operational spaces directly intended for the continuous care of patients, as well as the direct improvement of working conditions for administrative medical staff and medical students who live academic and healthcare lives in this institution.

The national president toured spaces of the Rafael Rangel building, which is a building that dates back to 1960 and is currently being repowered with X-ray equipment, tomographs, hemodynamics equipment and other care services, such as in the area of cardiology.

This action also includes the comprehensive rehabilitation of spaces belonging to the heritage building known as the old building that is also part of this historic complex that has also been dedicated for years to scientific development dedicated to medicine in Venezuela.

Another of the rehabilitated areas is the auditorium belonging to this hospital, another historic space within the heritage building, as well as the hospitalization spaces in which it is expected that in the next phase they will be incorporated with equipment and furniture for care, comfort and efficiency in the application of medical services in this hospital.
