This Wednesday, between 30 and 40 thousand Argentines will march against the neoliberal package of the newly elected president Javier Milei.

This mobilization has been called for by more than 30 left-wing organizations who will take to the streets to demand respect for Milei and in commemoration of the 22nd anniversary of the Argentinazo that ended the government of Fernando de la Rúa, former president who led citizens to one of the worst poverty crises ever recorded in the South American nation.

Faced with this popular demonstration, the Minister of Security, Patricia Bullrich threatened to implement the 'anti-picket' (anti-march) protocol that she presented days ago to prevent any mobilization that is against the Government of Milei from taking place.

In addition, another threat is to take away the social plan from those citizens who use the streets to demonstrate, with the warning that “the one who cuts, does not charge” and they will identify those who went out to march to steal the benefit, as well as fines and the use of force from those who are dissatisfied with Milei's neoliberal measures.

Bullrich added that the government will pass the bill for what security operations cost to social organizations and a protocol will be established to protect federal forces in the line of their duty, this measure means that there will be repressions that will violate the human rights of Argentines.

It is worth remembering that the Argentine Government raised the value of the dollar from 400 to 800 pesos, promised not to renew the contracts of public employees who have been in office for less than a year, and has announced increases in rates for basic services and public transport, reasons enough for citizens to speak out against it.
