The Zuata Corazón de Chávez Commune 2018, in the Zuata parish of the state of Aragua, was the scene of an assembly of leaders with the candidate for the Governor of the entity for the Great Patriotic Pole Simón Bolívar (GPPSB), Joana Sánchez, for the elections of May 25.
The vice-president for Community Councils and Communes of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) and candidate ready for the National Assembly, Jorge Arreaza, accompanied the activity and, in greeting those present, he stressed that, “the incarnation of our country is a communal woman”.
He told the community members that with the candidate Joana Sánchez, Aragua has an extraordinary opportunity to strengthen Popular Power and for the parish to be an agro-tourist and productive area, as President Hugo Chávez dreamed.
On the other hand, the leader warned that opponents who, from the Parliament, called for sanctions against Venezuela, such as Henrique Capriles, Ramos Allup, Stalin González, “want to control the National Assembly again (...) No, of course not, they will not return.”
Arreaza called for seeking the vote of people who are dissatisfied, who are from revolutionary families but are demotivated. He also called for total mobilization on May 25.
For her part, candidate Joana Sánchez pledged to give back to the people for all the effort she has given to the Bolivarian Revolution. “Thanks to you, for you who have sustained this Revolution for 25 years,” he added.
Sánchez stressed that in his work plan it is a priority to meet the expectations of the People's Power. “This moment is going to be different, because yes you can. The new method of governance is one of transformation. We must have the inventive capacity to transform our reality, and the method is profound, it is to change the way we govern, to do things differently. The method is for each Communal Government Chamber to be in charge of the Government,” he said.
For Sánchez, power is obediential and the Commune is in charge, and that is his main motto of government.
Spokeswoman Mayerling Infante stressed that on May 25, Chávez's mission and dream will win. Likewise, Renny Ramírez, community leader, called for leaving very early on May 25 so that Sánchez can come to the Government so that we can exercise power from the people.
In the same way, spokesman Abel Palma stressed that they are willing to continue strengthening agritourism, and urged the Communes to work with self-government as their horizon.
