The executive secretary of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-Peoples' Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP), Jorge Arreaza, questioned the veto imposed by the Government of Spain on the Venezuelan film festival that would be presented on March 17 and 24 at the Casa de las Américas in Madrid.

“They fear that their people will know the truth; just as the colonial monarchy feared and censored Enlightenment literature in the 18th and 19th centuries,” he said through his Telegram channel.

He also described Isabel Díaz Ayuso, head of the Madrid government, as a “facha”, who was the one who exerted the necessary pressure not to allow the screening of Venezuelan films. “Facha is facha! Then they say that in our countries there is censorship,” he said.

He reaffirmed that, despite obstacles and attempts to hide the truth, the voice of peoples is raised. “In the end, no matter how much they try and avoid it, the will and conscience of peoples are unstoppable,” he said.
