During his participation in the inauguration of the Second CELAC Social and São Paulo Forum, from Tegucigalpa, the Executive Secretary of ALBA-TCP, Jorge Arreaza, stated that union is the strategic objective, “because we must go beyond integration”.
“At ALBA-TCP, more than integration, we talk about union, which is what Simón Bolívar asked us to do. Unity transcends integration, union is the strategic objective,” said Arreaza.
He also assured that Honduras meets CELAC Social. “True union, from the grassroots, through social movements in Our Latin and Caribbean America. The always-present ALBA-TCP, with its unionist, anti-imperialist spirit and its proposal for the World Social Alternative”, in a post on its account on the social network X.
Arreaza argued that the only way to remain free and independent is united, to resist projects of domination.
“The spirit of ALBA goes far beyond the 10 countries that make it up, the spirit of ALBA is there in the social movements of our America, in the peoples, in their organization, in their communes,” said Arreaza.
The Executive Secretary of ALBA-TCP invited the member states of CELAC to read and contribute to the World Social Alternative, “social movements are discussing a document in which proposals are made in the field of democracy and government, in international matters and finance.”
