This Wednesday, Argentines occupied the outskirts of Congress with pots and pans and with one voice they showed their anger and frustration after hearing the announcement of President Javier Milei, who repealed 30 laws without consulting the Chamber of Deputies.
“I'm leaving because this is going back to the past because it means misery for a lot of people. It is a way of expressing the anguish and fear that we all have. This is not democracy,” said one of the demonstrators from the town of Montserrat.
According to what was published by the portal page 12, a man in his 50s who demonstrated in Medrano and Rivadavia, while everyone sang in the background “Milei, garbage, you are the dictatorship”, told C5N “sincerely it's a shame. It seems that the caste is the working class and those of us who have nothing. They sold rotten fish to people who voted for it with confidence. There are many who haven't noticed yet, but this is terrible.” Another of those present added: “I am a lawyer, I studied at the UBA and it's a shame what Milei is doing. A president can't change tax things. What is Congress for? It's outrageous because from now on Argentina belongs to private individuals and foreigners.”
This repeal by the Argentine president violates the spirit of the tool of the Decree of Necessity and Urgency (DNU).
