Attorney General Devoe receives Amnesty International delegation in Caracas

At the headquarters of the Public Ministry (MP) in Caracas, the Attorney General of the Republic, Larry Devoe Márquez, received Erika Guevara and a group of representatives of the organization Amnesty International. The purpose of the meeting was to address issues of mutual interest regarding the human rights situation and the justice system in Venezuela.

According to information provided on the Public Ministry's Instagram social network, the meeting took place under a frank and constructive exchange. In this space, he highlighted the invitation made by the Attorney General to the organization to participate and provide his contributions in the National Consultation on Criminal Justice Reform.

For his part, Devoe indicated that during the meeting between the two organizations, “a direct communication mechanism was generated, as we have established with other non-governmental organizations in the country.”

According to the institution's publication, these actions demonstrate the MP's will to move forward in optimizing the criminal justice system, as well as to strengthen dialogue and cooperation with the Amnesty International movement.
