Authorities of the AN make a floral offering in front of the Liberator monument in Plaza Bolívar in Caracas

The president of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez, together with deputies from the Legislative Branch led a wreath before the equestrian monument to El Libertador Simón Bolívar in Plaza Bolívar in Caracas.
The event was led by the head of Parliament, the first vice-president, Pedro Infante, and the second vice-president América Pérez, as a prelude to the installation of the new legislative period 2025-2026.
In the place, the parliamentarians of the “Simon Bolivar” Homeland Bloc are also present together with the painting that reflects the image of the Father of the Fatherland, and the accompaniment of the Venezuelan people. The Board of Directors of the AN is then expected to be sworn in for the 2025 legislative period.
The installation of the AN is stipulated in articles 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 of the Interior and Debate Regulations. The National Parliament had a period with outstanding results where 17 laws were enacted in 2024, for a total of 90 laws during the period 2020-2024 and 70% of these sanctioned regulations were to benefit the Venezuelan people.
