Authorities report magnitude 5.9 earthquake off the coast of Mexico

An earthquake of magnitude 5.9 occurred this Wednesday, May 28, off the coast of Mexico, reports the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the Russia Today website reported.

The earthquake has been detected at a depth of 10 kilometers and its epicenter was located 367 kilometers from the city of Cabo San Lucas, in the state of Baja California Sur.

So far, no tsunami warning has been issued. There are also no reports of potential victims or material damage.
