The Bank of Venezuela (BDV) signed a strategic alliance with three unions in the transport sector, consolidating an innovative project for the digitalization of ticket payments. This initiative allows users to cancel their fares using cutting-edge technologies such as NFC, Bluetooth and QR codes, thus eliminating dependence on cash and streamlining daily transactions on national public transport.
The agreement, promoted through the “En la Parada” project incubator, seeks to integrate carriers into a digital ecosystem that facilitates real-time financing and promotes the financial inclusion of thousands of workers in the sector. Currently, this system is operating in Greater Caracas and the state of Aragua, with the intention of expanding its reach to the rest of the national territory.
This alliance represents a significant step forward in the modernization of public services, coordinating efforts between public banks and transport unions to offer efficient technological solutions. The implementation of these payment methods that help with digital transformation for all citizens constitutes a direct response to the country's modernization needs.
