Blackmail! Trump offers Canada free protection under his golden dome if it becomes a 51 state

Last Tuesday, the President of the United States (USA), Donald Trump, offered Canada free protection under his “golden dome”, an advanced defense system that he plans to have ready in 2029, if it joins as the 51st state.

“I told Canada, that it wants to be part of our fabulous Golden Dome System, which will cost you $61 billion if it remains a separate, but unequal nation, but it will cost you ZERO DOLLARS if it becomes our beloved 51 state,” Trump wrote in Truth Social. “They're considering the offer!” , he said in the same message.

Trump's statements come after Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney said that Canada is suffering “the dangers of economic and security overdependence” on the US, and that he plans to increase its integration with the European defense industry.

In a radio and television interview, Carney highlighted that for every dollar that Canada spends on defense, 75% goes to the United States, something that does not seem “intelligent” to him, so he anticipated that his Government will diversify spending and will direct more towards its European partners.

Carney asked Carlos III to attend the opening of the country's 45th legislature to reinforce Canadian sovereignty. Last week, Trump estimated that the “golden dome”, which is presented as more advanced than Israel's “iron dome”, will cost approximately 175 billion dollars and projected that it will be completed by the end of his term in 2029.
