The Sectorial Vice President of Public Works and Services, Jorge Márquez, announced the launch of a 24-hour special deployment plan designed to guarantee the constant supply of drinking water to families in the state of Sucre, with the firm purpose of strengthening access to water resources in the region.

From the Command Post installed to monitor the contingency, Márquez reported that the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) will maintain an active presence on the streets, whose work is aimed at safeguarding and streamlining distribution logistics, to ensure that the service is not interrupted, especially in areas of greatest vulnerability, he reported on his Venezolana de Televisión website.

The central strategy of the plan envisages the creation of driver brigades that will operate in uninterrupted shifts throughout the day, which will make it possible to significantly increase the frequency of tanker trucks.

In addition, the arrival and strategic installation of community tanks in various sectors of the state was confirmed.

To achieve an immediate and effective response, the project is committed to territorialization through the following mechanisms: Supply Points; Direct Assignment and Communication Circuit.

On this last point, Márquez indicated that this circuit will make it possible to report tank levels in real time, facilitating replenishment before the resource is completely exhausted in the communities.

For her part, the governor of the state of Sucre, Jhoanna Carrillo, stressed that this management method will allow citizens to exercise real control over the resource.

Carrillo, accompanied by ministers Juan José Ramírez and Aníbal Coronado, emphasized that the leading participation of the community is the key element in ensuring the transparency and efficiency of this new distribution scheme.

The working day was also attended by the Minister of the People's Power for Water Care, Carlos Mast Yustiz, who evaluated the technical advances of the system.

The minister added that the Command Post will remain operational on a permanent basis and will function as the operational nucleus from which route compliance is monitored and incidents in the supply system are corrected immediately.
