The Ministry of Transportation launched the Tucacas Port Authority, an institution designed to regulate maritime operations on the East Coast of the state of Falcón.
Minister Jacqueline Faria and Governor Víctor Clark led the handover of the headquarters.
During the event, Fanía pointed out that the incorporation of this office makes it possible to strengthen control mechanisms over nautical traffic and to address the increase in activities related to tourism, fishing and commerce.
For his part, Clark reported that the opening coincides with the start of the Holy Week holiday, which will allow direct attention to visitors traveling to Morrocoy National Park and nearby areas.
The installation of this Captaincy is part of the actions aimed at consolidating State management in the area of planning and supervising activities in Venezuelan waters.
