As part of the preventive plan for the arrival of the rainy season, the Bolivarian Government, through the Mayor's Office of Girardot, activated the pre-rain plan in the Aguacata l sector of Maracay, in the state of Aragua.

In this regard, Mayor Rafael Morales and his team inspected the Aguacatal sector of Maracay, belonging to the Comuna El Legado del Comandante, where he announced the actions that will be deployed in this risk area located in the south of the capital of Aragüeña.

He reported that this Tuesday, May 13, the maintenance and widening of the Aguacatal Trench will begin, which will increase water collection capacity in the sector, where maintenance work will also be carried out on two fundamental collectors and palliative actions will be carried out in the Las Vegas sector as part of preventive measures.

“We have made progress in the task of territorializing public management through communes, prioritizing risk areas. We have already been making progress in maintaining rivers, dams and streams, although there are still tasks to be done, Aguacatal is one of the key points in that plan,” he said.

He highlighted the recovery they made in the Aguacatal Trench and the installation of a new pump that has allowed 100% operation of the pumping system, significantly improving the situation on Paraíso and Los Jardines streets, which were previously inaccessible during the rainy season.

Morales also shared impressions with the inhabitants of the commune, who expressed their concerns about the implementation of different community projects, such as the rehabilitation of the Aguacatal office, which is currently being implemented.

“We are convinced that the commune is the new way of governing. It is from these spaces that a real response to the needs of the People is generated,” he said.

He also recognized the organizational work of the Comune El Legado del Comandante.
