The head of the ministerial portfolio of Transport, Ramón Velásquez Araguayán announced that the bridges connecting the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela with Colombia, on the Venezuelan side, are all enabled. These are those located in Táchira, Zulia and Apure.
The information was provided by the official from Táchira (Puente Unión) after supervision carried out in the Andean entity.
In the particular case of the Unión bridge, Velásquez explained that it has the capacity to support up to 15 tons of cargo, with projects for its reinforcement. “We are currently negotiating between the two governments and we are ready and willing to continue contributing to the integration of our Venezuela with Colombia,” he said, quoted by the regional press.
“The objective is to extend the useful life of these steps, which includes the four bridges in Táchira, one in Apure and the one in Zulia,” the minister concluded.
