Bolivarian Government Authorities Inspect Ring Machines and Sardine Trains in Sucre

From the spaces of the Guaca Fishing Port, located in Sucre state, authorities of the Bolivarian Government initiated an exhaustive protocol for the inspection and measurement of fishing gear for the Sardine (Sardinella aurita) Catch Season 2026.

This technical and administrative deployment, focused on the state of Sucre, seeks to ensure that fishing activity is maintained under standards of sustainability and sustainability, fundamental pillars for food sovereignty and the local economy.

The conference is attended by a team of 250 professionals and personnel, coordinating efforts between various State institutions and organized popular power, as well as representatives of Fishermen's Associations and 28 spokespersons from the Councils of the People's Power of Fishermen and Fishermen, Aquaculturists and Aquaculturists (CONPPA).

The protocol focuses on the technical verification of the Argolla Machines and Sardineros Trains, as well as on the detailed inspection of the Cordeleros/Bolicheros (Guataneros) boats and their crew.

In this regard, the Deputy Minister of Primary Fisheries and Aquaculture Production, Pedro Guerra, asserted that the intention is for us all to work for the harvest and the only way that can happen is for us all to be here; for the Committees to work.”

He also explained that in joint work with competent bodies, the Ministry of the People's Power of Fisheries and Aquaculture will remain deployed in the different fishing ports of the entity to register, verify and count each of the machines, boats and fishing gear that are dedicated to fishing for this strategic sector for the nation.

Beyond oversight, this comprehensive approach facilitates essential administrative procedures for the sector, in order to keep its permits up to date, according to a press release from the Minister of People's Power for Fisheries and Aquaculture.

With these actions, the Bolivarian Government reaffirms its commitment to the preservation of Sardinella aurita and the well-being of families that depend on this important fishing resource.
