Bolivarian Government commemorates a new anniversary of the Battle of Pichincha

Foreign Minister Yván Gil, from his telegram channel, commemorated a new anniversary of the Battle of Pichinch a, a victory that sealed Ecuador's independence cause.
“The Bolivarian Government joins the peoples of Latin America to commemorate the 204th anniversary of the Battle of Pichincha, whose victory was led by Venezuelan marshal Antonio José de Sucre on the slopes of the Pichincha volcano, just outside of Quito,” he said.
Gil added that “this victory not only consolidated Ecuador's independence cause, but it also promoted the integrationist project of the Liberator Simon Bolivar. This day symbolizes the hope of all our peoples and their unwavering struggle for full sovereignty.”
