The Bolivarian Government began the process of inspecting and evaluating structural damage in the Ocumare municipality of the Gold Coast in the state of Aragua after the double seismic movement recorded last Wednesday, June 24.
This is a multidisciplinary commission composed of expert engineering officials belonging to CONSTRUARAGUA who, together with staff from the infrastructure secretariat, the municipal cadastre and the popular power, visited the structures that were affected after the earthquakes.
The San Sebastián Martín Parish Church, which was visibly affected, were visited, as well as the Simoncito study center and family homes, which saw their long-standing walls collapse as a result of the earthquake.
In addition, personnel from the local tourism department carried out visits to six inns in the municipality. These include Bocono Lodge, Ecologe, Los Abuelos, Las Alejandras, Villas Loley and Los Helechos Rodas located in the Independencia parish.
The engineers will make a diagnosis in order to take action with an infrastructure pathologist who will determine the actions to be taken.
