Bolivarian Government fumigated vulnerable communities in the Amazon to prevent malaria

The National Government deployed a comprehensive day against malaria in the Platanillal sector in the state of Amazonas, directly benefiting more than 2,780 inhabitants of these vulnerable communities.

According to a press release from the Ministry of Health, specialized fumigation teams toured the communities: Las Pavas Cicurital, Cucurotal (Manacal sector) and Morichalito, applying intensive vector control, eliminating breeding sites and educating the population.

These interventions are part of the ongoing program against malaria, which has reduced the number of cases reported this year, saving lives in families, children and pregnant women.
