The Bolivarian Government, through the Single Health Authority of Mérida, inaugurated in the state capital an ultrasound room for the Urban Outpatient Clinic (Type III) Venezuela.
This healthcare center serves a population of more than 25,000 inhabitants in the Antonio Spinetti Dini parish.
“We are in the Venezuela Specialized Outpatient Clinic, in our Libertador municipality. It is a space that was rehabilitated by our medical and technical staff together with popular power,” said Mérida's single health authority, Moraima Salazar, in statements to the media.
Salazar stressed that this service will respond to local demand for imaging, in accordance with the policies implemented by the National Government through the Ministry of People's Power for Health.
He also highlighted that the administration of Governor Arnaldo Sánchez, through the Sectorial Secretariat of Health, helped to recover this space, which expands the diagnostic capacity of the establishment, located on Avenida Las Américas, in the immediate vicinity of the Simón Bolívar and Pueblo Nuevo communities.
With the opening of this service in the Urban Outpatient Clinic (Type III) Venezuela, the local primary (preventive) care network available to the National Public Health System in the capital of Mérida is strengthened, thus helping to decongest other health centers such as the University Hospital of Los Andes, while optimizing care capacity in areas of comprehensive community health.
