Bolivarian Government inaugurates extension of the UNERG in Píritu de Anzoátegui

With the inauguration of a headquarters of the National Experimental University of the Central Plains Rómulo Gallegos (UNERG) in the city of Píritu, hundreds of students from the six municipalities that make up the western part of the state of Anzoátegui will benefit.

This house of studies becomes the first house of higher education in that municipality in the former headquarters of the Casa de la Cultura, located on El Cementerio street.

To inaugurate this university nucleus, Governor Luis José Marcano, the Minister for University Education, Ricardo Sánchez; the rector of the UNERG, César Gómez; the president of the Venezuelan Federation of University Students (FVEU), Ariana Llanos; the president of the Federation of the University Center of the UNERG, Luis Nadales; and, the mayor of the jurisdiction, Jesús Méndez, reported the press regional.

This is the sixth educational infrastructure of the “UNERG Caminos y Horizontes 2023-2030” plan, and this extension begins with the training of more than 300 students in careers in nursing, law and business administration. The space also houses the health and welfare units of student ombudsman, administrative areas and 7 classrooms.
