Bolivarian Government inaugurates Plaza de la Victoria de la Gran Guerra Patria (+photos)

During an event in the city of Caracas, the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy R. Rodríguez, together with the sectoral vice-presidents of Politics, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, and of Political Sovereignty, Security and Peace, (G/J) Vladirmir Padrino López, inaugurated, in the name of President Nicolás Maduro Moros, the Plaza de la Victoria de la Gran Guerra Patria over Nazifascism in the city of Caracas.

“Today, this glorious square is being handed over to the city of Caracas, but also to our Venezuela. A unique monument that reflects the truth, where 27 million Soviets and Soviets gave and surrendered their lives for the whole of humanity, by overthrowing Hitler and Nazi-Fascism,” said Rodríguez.

The Vice-President also highlighted the courage and resistance of the Russian people and the Red Army to free Europe and the world from oppression and barbarism, confirming that they were the ones who “gave lessons defeating Nazism, defeating that terrible and opprobious machinery of death, hate, racism and arrogance”.
