The Minister of People's Power for Electric Energy, Rolando Alcalá, toured the facilities of the General José Antonio Páez Hydroelectric Complex, located in the La Quinta sector of Barinas state, and verified its operation together with technical teams from the area.
This complex is located in the Altamira de Cáceres parish in the Bolívar municipality, and is part of the strategic infrastructure that supports electricity generation in the region, so the inspection made it possible to review processes essential for its operation, according to a press release from Radio Miraflores.
During the tour, the head of the firm evaluated the complex's operating systems and its technical and human procedures, then stressed that these actions seek to promote projects aimed at reducing risks and strengthening the stability of the local electrical system.
The electrical authority entered the engine room and the control room, and also verified the installed capacity of 220 MW that provides energy to the National Electric System (SEN).
Alcalá also reviewed the performance of the generating units, accompanied by the president of the National Electric Corporation (CORPOELEC), José Luis Betancourt, and by workers from the operating areas that support the daily activity of the complex.
The Bolivarian Government, under the leadership of the president in charge Delcy Rodríguez, maintains a line of work focused on the comprehensive strengthening of the national electricity system, so these inspections are part of a new phase of monitoring and control in the country's energy infrastructure.
