Bolivarian Government intensifies rehabilitation of Pérez Carreño Hospital

The Bolivarian Government is intensifying the rehabilitation work being carried out in the facilities of the Doctor Miguel Pérez Carreño General Hospital, located in the La Yaguara residential area of El Paraíso parish, in Caracas, as part of the Doctor José Gregorio Hernández Comprehensive Plan.

A multidisciplinary team of the Sectorial Vice Presidency of Public Works and Services is currently carrying out rehabilitation work in various critical areas of the healthcare center such as pediatrics, traumatology, surgery and neurosurgery, he reported on his Última Noticias portal.

For their part, the technical staff of the Venezuelan Hydrology Company (HIDROVEN) carry out the evaluation and diagnosis of the main pipe that is located on the 7th floor of the health center, thus ensuring the operation of the water system for patients, the Sectorial Vice Presidency said in a press release.

These rehabilitation efforts are repeated in different hospitals in the metropolitan area, such as the Doctor Domingo Luciani Hospital, located in El Llanito, Sucre de Miranda municipality. In this space, work was successfully completed on the Internal Medicine Module, on the 3rd floor.

The project in the module included restoration work on walls and ceiling, metal support structures and electrical wiring system, in addition to the installation of LED luminaires, correction of leaks, plumbing work and the sanitation of bathrooms.

The wooden doors were also rehabilitated on site, complementing the task with the installation of tempered glass doors to improve biosafety and access to critical areas.

The Sectorial Vice Presidency for Public Works and Services highlighted that the new spaces of the Luciani Internal Medicine Module will now include an area of palliative care, pain clinic, maternal-fetal surgery and bariatric surgery.

Comprehensive rehabilitation work is also progressing for the basic services of the Doctor Luis Razetti Oncological Hospital, in the parish of San José, where a deep well is being recovered to improve water service.

In this national reference center, power plants are also being repowered and their facades are being restored. Likewise, the construction of a new waste room is continuing.

All the tasks carried out in the context of the Doctor José Gregorio Hernández Comprehensive Plan have as their main objective to dignify health facilities in the national territory to provide decent, free and quality medical care to the population.
